Research interests
My researchinterests focus on using microorganisms to degrade refractory organic pollutantsand to transform natural resources into materials needed.
(1) A fungal reactor system with ozone as the bactericide, and usingimmobilized Phanerochaete chrysosporium biofilm (growth on the knotted cotton-thread carrier), was built and operated.

(2) A first stable white-rot fungal treatment system was establishedbased on two inventions(vascular carrier and Zheng-Long reactor) and ran in repeated-batch mode toeffectively treat landfill leachate for 320 days and coking wastewater for 585days under non-sterile conditions.

(3) Reactor designed for the treatment of wastewatercontaining recalcitrant organic compounds.

(4) A new composting inoculation strategy hasbeen proposed, which divide the composting inoculums into three parts, andinoculate them at three stages of the composting process.

(5)A new reactor equipped with suckingaeration system for controlthe ammonia emission during the composting process.
